A loan of $1,975 helped to buy cows.

Barchynay's story

Barchynay is 32 years old, married and raising 3 children together with her husband. Her husband works at a construction market. Barchynay has a secondary education. To provide the primary income for her family, Barchynay is involved in animal husbandry, having started 6 years ago with a purchase of livestock with 25,000 som (KGS). Thanks to her hard work, today her business contains 5 dairy cows and 1 horse. She keeps the livestock in the household in the winter; she has a barn on her property. In the summer, Barchynay and her husband take the livestock to a pasture. The monthly income amounts to 15,000 som (KGS). In order to further develop her business, Barchynay requested a loan from the microfinance bank "Bai-Tushum and Partners" to buy cows in order to increase livestock headcount. Barchynay plans to invest the earnings from the loan into further increasing domestic livestock quantities and saving money for her children's future education.
