A loan of $250 helped to purchase more traditional medicines.

Kumba's story

Meet 47-year-old Kumba. She is from Waterloo2, in the Western Rural part of Freetown, in Sierra Leone. She is married and has seven children. In 2000, Kumba established her traditional medicine sales business. She began her business, because she wanted to create income for her survival. She works at the business from 8:00am until 7:30pm, seven days per week. She says that the main challenge to her business is proper business location.

Kumba requires a loan, in order to purchase more traditional medicines for resale. She hopes that the extra income from this loan will allow her to change her standard of living and increase her business. In the future, Kumba plans to expand her business, more than ever. She thanks you for your support.
