A loan of $1,000 helped to build a household latrine to improve her sanitation practices.

Oeurn's story

Oeurn is 63 years old and a resident of a peaceful village of Prey Chhor district in Kampong Cham province. She is married with five grown-up children who are already married and live independently. Oeurn has been a farmer for more than 30 years, mainly growing and harvesting rice.

Oeurn has been with Hattha Kaksekar Limited for three cycles and successfully paid back the past loans which were great support in the development of her family and business. Now she has applied for a loan amounting to 1,000 US dollars to build a household latrine to improve her sanitation practices. Thanks to the water loan program with a special rate offered by HKL, Oeurn is encouraged to focus on ensuring healthy living conditions, to safeguard the health of her family and to protect the environment.
