A loan of $5,575 helped a member to buy millet and peanut seeds.

Fama's Group's story

This group was created in July 2011. It's members are women coming from the same village. Their main business is farming. Fama is responsible for the group. She's the woman sitting towards the right and raising her hand in the photograph. She's 50 years old, married, and the mother of seven children. Her business consists in buying seeds, in order to stock them and use them during the rainy season. Thus, with this loan, she intends to buy millet seeds for XOF 25'000, and peanut seeds for XOF 25'000. Her goal is to provide for her family's needs, increase her savings, and help her husband cover daily expenses.
