Kelly's story

Kelly, age twenty-one, is single with no children. She lives in her parent’s house, where every day she shares with them the joy of being together; and she works to give them a better quality of life.

Kelly works selling food; every day in the afternoon she goes to the lane outside her home to sell delicious meals that are typical of the region, along with refreshing drinks prepared with natural fruits.

She has been doing this work for four years; she started out assisting her mother, who has now given her total control of the business. She likes what she does very much, as apart from having time available for other duties, she generates very good earnings. Before being able to do this work, she had problems paying the monthly fees to the institute where she studies; but now she feels more relaxed, since she has the financial support which allows her to face any situation.

On this occasion she is requesting 600 Nuevos Soles, and she is very happy to know that she is being given financial support, since this way she will feel secure moving forward with her business. For her part, she promises once again to make her payments on time, as she has done with her previous loans.

She will invest the requested amount in the purchase of ingredients and supplies such as rice, chicken, oil, olives, and fruit, in addition to other items such as tables, chairs, plates, and other utensils.
