A loan of $1,775 helped a member to buy fertilisers for growing coffee.

Brisas Del Higo Group's story

José is 53 years old, is married and has two children. He lives in the municipality of Sn Nicolás, in Santa Bárbara, with one of his sons. José previously worked only in building but six years ago he decided to start growing coffee, a product which he sells - with the husks still on - to local agents. José has applied for a third loan, this time for 20,000 Lempira, in order to buy fertilisers and support his coffee crops. José's plan is to grow more on another plot of land in order to increase production and improve his quality of life.

This is a group loan for the "Brisas del Higo" group. There are two members. In the photo, José is on the left, wearing a light blue shirt. Delmy, on the right has a dark blue shirt and a hat. The group is applying for a total of 35,000 Lempira in ordering to put down fertiliser in their coffee farm. The two group members live in the same community.
