Zoila's story

Zoila, age 57, is married and has three adult children. She currently lives in her own house with her whole family. Zoila’s business consists of selling fast food and typical dishes. Every day, in the early hours of the morning, she heads to the city market to buy all of the ingredients that she needs to make the food that she later sells on the walkway outside of her house.

Her excellent seasoning has made her food stand a necessary stop to satisfy her customers’ hunger. She has been doing this work for four years. Ever since she started, she has received the help and support of her daughter. What she likes about her work is that she can do it at her house. She does not have to go to another place to sell. Also, it pleases her to generate her own income.

This time she will request 3,500 soles. She is very happy to know that there are people who provide financial support to continue developing her business activity. She pledges to be a punctual and responsible member. She will use the requested amount to buy all of the ingredients she needs to continue with her business. She will buy things like potatoes, rice, cooking oil, and meat, among others.
