A loan of $300 helped to buy more stationery items like books, pens, counter books, markers and toners.

Margret's story

Margret is 21 years old and lives in the town of Iganga in the Iganga region of Uganda. She is single and has no children.

For the past six years, Margret has been working hard to manage her stationery shop, which sells books, pens, counter books, markers, toners, etc.

To help expand the business, Margret has requested a loan of 700,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more stationery items, and it will help Margret to generate greater profits and educate her siblings.

Margret hopes that in the future she will be able to open up a supermarket.
