A loan of $10,000 helped a member to buy 80 pairs of shoes.

Jerico Group's story

The customer, Ntumba, has been a trader for the past 13 years and is a member of the Jerico business group. She is an experienced entrepreneur, who is 36 years old, married and mother to six children, all of whom are studying. She sells used shoes and is requesting a loan from Hekima to expand her business. She is going to buy 80 pairs of shoes. Her husband is a civil servant. She began her business with funds given to her by her husband. In the future she would like to build a house, as well as to educate and feed her children. She is extremely thankful to Hekima for having chosen its objective well, by supporting female entrepreneurs who do not have access to classic banks and granting loans without any material guarantee, particularly during this period after the conflict in the east of the country.
