A loan of $7,000 helped a member to buy 20 pieces of women's clothing and 30 pieces for children.

La Main Dans La Main Group's story

The customer, Kamanda, is a courageous trader, as well as being vice-president and member of "La main dans la main" ("Hand in Hand") business group. She is a dynamic entrepreneur who is 32 years old, a widow and mother to three children, who are all at school. The customer sells clothes (for women and children) and is a member/shareholder of a shop. She lays out her goods in the shop which is in the centre of town. She began her business with the help of her big sister after her husband's death. Later on, she got a loan from IMF Hekima. She has been carrying out this business for four years. This new loan will be used to buy 20 pieces of clothing for women and 30 for children. In the future she would like to increase her loan, and be able to educate and feed her children. Finally, she is extremely thankful to Hekima for rendering autonomous male and female entrepreneurs who do not have access to banks, particularly during this critical time after the conflicts in the east of the country.
