Nelly's story

Nelly is a 37-year-old female, married with two children, aged 12 and 9 years old, whom she supports. She sells shoes. Her business is located at Mpeketoni. She has been in this business for five years and she earns a monthly income of KES12,000.

This is her fifth loan of KES 60,000. She was introduced to Visionfund Kenya by the Visionfund officer. She’s planning to use the loan to purchase more stock for her business. She will use the profit to do commercial farming. Her hopes and dreams for the future are to build rental houses at her plot and educate her children.
