A loan of $550 helped to purchase fertilizer for his coffee crop.

Benito's story

Benito is 35 years old and lives together with his children in the village of Naranjitos, a rural area in the district of Pomahuaca, a community characterized by its warm climate. The majority of the population is dedicated to agriculture, trade and ranching, located in the Jaén province, which belongs to the Cajamarca Region in the northern highlands of Peru.

He is dedicated to agriculture, specifically the cultivation of coffee, with 13 years of experience in this field. He is an enterprising father, which gives him strength. Together with his family he has requested a loam of 1500 nuevo soles for the purchase of fertilizer in order protect his coffee crop from the rust plague. This way he will have a timely production to offer to his customers, generating better income for his family.
