Wilson is a farmer in the Bugomola local cell in Bushenyi district. He is a father of one child aged sixteen years, and he also looks after the mother who is the only dependent in his house.

He has been a cattle farmer since 1993. This is a business that he started with the objective of earning an income to support his family. Farming is his major source of income. He also involved in money lending as a way of earning more income to support his family. His clients are farmers and butchers from the same area where he does business.

He is very hopeful that if the business is boosted by restocking using the loan money of 2,500,000 UGX, it will do well and earn him enough profits. He will then invest the profits back into the business. His future plan is to expand the business from one level to another.

Inadequate pastures are the main challenge he is facing at the moment since the land he has is not enough for grazing his cows. He believes that this problem will be solved if he earns enough profits and then buys another piece of land for grazing the cows.

This loan is part of UGAFODE's program for clients who live in isolated rural areas with limited access to financial services. Uniquely, UGAFODE focuses its efforts on agricultural areas in Uganda that are over 50 km from their branches, providing loans to both groups and individual borrowers. The organization believes that the risk of offering services to remote clients is outweighed by the benefits to customers and their often underserved communities.
