Meet 40-year-old Hummah from Waterloo western rural in Freetown in Sierra Leone. She is married with 4 children. In 2000, Hummah established her clothing business. She began her business because she wants to create income for her family. She works at the business from 8:00 am until 5:30 pm, 6 days per week. She says that the main challenges to her business are price inflation and proper business location.

Hummah requires a loan in order to purchase more slippers and wax cotton material for resale. She hopes that the extra income from this loan will allow her to change her status of living and increase her business. In the future, Hummah plans to open a big shop business.
