A loan of $850 helped to increase sales volume in her business.

Teresa Helena's story

Teresa Helena P. was born in Maputo, is 35 years old, married, and mother of two children. Her oldest is 15 years old and the second is 13. Besides her children, Teresa supports her siblings and her mother, who lives with them.

Teresa studied until the 7th grade, when she got married. She later decided to continue and is currently in the 10th grade, in night school. Teresa grew up with her parents, began school at the age of 7, and got married at 19. She has her own house.

Teresa essentially lives from her business establishment, which she has had since 2004. She opens at 7:00 a.m. and closes at 8:30 p.m. Her best-selling products are bottled drinks. She sells, on average, beer for 25 meticais and soft drinks for 15. Her monthly income is 4000.00 mt.

This is Teresa's third loan with Hluvuku and her second with Kiva. She has never sought loans at other institutions. She plans on increasing her sales volume with this loan of 20,000.00 mt.

It is Teresa's dream to transform her small establishment into a large general store and become a great business woman. To make her dream concrete, she counts on credit support
