A loan of $375 helped to buy soft drinks and other drinks.

Fabiola's story

Fabiola is 39 years old. She is a single mother of two children and lives in a house she rents, made out of wood. Fabiola has a store where she sells food items like rice, sugar, eggs, etc. She has had this business for more than 7 years and started it looking for a stable income to support herself economically as she had no steady work.

This is relatively easy work as from early in the day she receives visits from clients who consider her a charismatic and happy person. She likes to keep her store well-stocked as it is beneficial in maintaining the influx of customers. Besides selling food she also sells cold drinks like "chica morada" ( a sweet drink made form purple corn) and soft drinks.

This is her 3rd loan from Kiva and she hopes to have the confidence to carry on. She promises to pay her installments in a timely fashion. At this time she is requesting a loan of 1,000 PEN to stock her business with soft drinks and other drinks that she plans to buy wholesale.
