A loan of $1,975 helped to buy cows.

Elmira's story

Elmira is 44 and married with five children. She is a happy mother as she has raised her children well: her oldest son is working in Russia, her daughter helps her mother around the house, and the remaining children are still in school. Her husband is a taxi driver, taking passengers from village to village.

Elmira has a high school education and works in animal husbandry as the primary source of income for her family, a business she began 14 years ago with the purchase of livestock for 20,000 KGS. Thanks to her hard work she now has two milk cows, one horse, two bulls and three sheep, with a monthly income of 13,000 KGS.

With the goal of further developing her business, Elmira has turned to bank Bai Tushum for a loan to purchase cows to increase her head count of livestock. She plans to invest profits from the loan into further augmenting the size of her herd, as well as saving toward her children's education.
