A loan of $1,975 helped to buy cows.

Nurjamal's story

Nurjamal is 36 and married with one son. Her husband works at the local electrical station and receives a monthly salary. Her son is in school. Nurjamal has a high school education and works in animal husbandry as the primary source of income for her family, a business she started nine years ago with the purchase of livestock for 20,000 KGS. Thanks to her hard work, she now has two milking cows, two mares and 10 sheep. With the profits from her farm, Nurjamal opened a small stall selling groceries and household goods and also works there selling her wares. Her aggregate monthly income is 15,000 KGS. With the goal of further developing her business, Nurjamal has turned to bank Bai Tushum and Partners for a loan to purchase cows to increase her head count of livestock. She plans to invest profits from the loan into further increasing the number of animals she raises, and to save toward buying a car.
