Jocelyn, a 42-year-old married mother of eight, lives in Villaramos, Manukan Zamboanga del Norte. Despite hardships in raising her family, this industrious woman finds herself plowing her rice field and planting vegetables and other crops.

In need of additional capital, Jocelyn joined Paglaum Cooperative and has thus far received several loans; she is now requesting a new one for PHP 25,000.00 to pay for fertilizers and labor costs involved in cultivating the land.

Being an MIGS member (Member in Good Standing) of the cooperative, Jocelyn has been able to manage her income, providing for the daily needs of her family. She is very thankful, for were it not for Paglaum, she might not have any savings at all nor be guided properly in her finances.

Jocelyn hopes to own more rice fields someday to finance the education of her children.
