A loan of $350 helped to pay for more quantities of fruits and vegetables to expand her product inventory.

Salvacion's story

This is Salvacion, 50, a resident of Maliba, Pasay City, Philippines. She is married to Melecio, a jeepney driver and they have children. She manages her own household while operating a business. At this time, she is working hard to continually provide income for their everyday expenses.

Salvacion operates a market stall. She sells fruits and vegetable products in the community market. She buys quantities of fruits and vegetables and sells them per kilo. Her regular customers are her neighbors and the local community. She earns a minimum of 500 PHP in sales every day.

To help her continue the operations of her business, she is requesting a 15,000 PHP loan. She will be utilizing the loan to buy more quantities of fruits and vegetables to expand her product inventory.

Salvacion hopes to expand her business and dreams that her children will finish their studies. She meets up with her co-fellowship members to share stories of her work every week and where she can also draw strength and inspiration from the Word of God she studies.

*All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and pay Micro Finance loans.
