A loan of $1,000 helped to buy merchandise for her small café.

Ana Narcisa's story

Ana is 35 years old. She is a hard-working woman who only went to school as far as the sixth grade. She is a single mother who has had to struggle on her own to raise her young children, who are entirely dependent on her. They are both students, and are in the 4th and 6th grades in the community school. She has operated a small café in the school for several years. She decided to start this activity because she is the only provider for her family. She previously worked in door-to-door sales, but was later given the opportunity to have the café. Her life partner abandoned her, leaving her alone with their two young children, so she had to take charge of the household and get ahead. Ana will use the loan to buy merchandise for the café, with the goal of offering a variety of products so that her customers are satisfied and she has more income for herself and her family. In the future she would like to expand her business more, in order to earn more income, and meet the needs of her customers and her family. She would like to be able to give her children a better education, so that they have opportunities in the future that will be useful to them in practical life.
