A loan of $800 helped to buy a greater variety and quantity of clothing.

Yesenia Marilu's story

Yesenia is 35 years old. She never went to school, because she worked in her mother's business. She grew up and got married, and has 6 children who are 16, 15, 14, 12, 5 and 3 years old. Four of them are in school, and they also help her with her business. Her husband works as a bricklayer's assistant. She often gets up very early. She goes to the school very early to sell snacks. She has been doing this for 8 years, and says that it is going well. She learned this business from her mother, and after she married she decided to continue doing it. She also buys clothing to sell in her free time and earn more income, which she does by going out into her community. For this reason, she needs a loan in order to buy a greater variety and quantity of clothing. She dreams of her children studying and becoming professionals, and also that they will learn a business so that if they can't find jobs they won't become desperate while looking for them.
