Denis's story

Denis is a 40-year-old hardworking businessman trading in local brew. He works six hours per day, all week. Denis is the father of two children and he hopes to give his children all the best in life. The reason he started his business in 1994 was to earn income which he would use to cater for the family's needs. The business is located in Kichwamba in Bunyaruguru, and his clients are mainly people from Katunguru and Kichwamba counties. Denis would like to use the money (One million Five Hundred Thousand shillings only) to buy more jerry cans of local brew, which he hopes to sell at a profit, which will him help him to expand his business. To get more income, Denis also does some coffee farming. Denis' main challenge are the people who never pay their debts and this lessens his business profits. Despite the challenges faced in the business, Denis is hopeful that he will expand his business, especially after getting support in the form of a loan and financial education from UGAFODE.
