Orfa Mariana's story

In the Colegio Uruguay sector of the city of Portoviejo, known as the City of the Royal Tamarind Trees, a beautiful and hospitable city, the Grupo De Crédito [lending group] Buenos Amigos [good friends] meets every two weeks.
Here lives Orfa, 66 years old. Several years ago her husband passed away, but she has two adult children from this relationship, both of whom live with her.
Orfa is a very determined woman who likes to earn her way through life and keep moving forward through her own efforts. She has a shop in her house from which she sells water in 5-gallon bottles. Her shop is very busy, since she has many customers who go there to buy this vital liquid. She also delivers, with the help of one of her children. She has had this business for 3 years and has been getting by.
She is going to use this loan to buy 5-gallon bottles of water. She has been with the Grupo De Crédito since it started, and she likes it because the loans are a big help in her business and her life. Her dream is good health for her and her children, whom she loves very much.
