A loan of $950 helped a member to buy construction supplies to use for completing her house.

Ensan Group's story

This group of four hard-working women is called Ensan. The members live in Taiz, Yemen. Together they have applied for a loan to the amount of 200,000 YER from AMB.

Roqia is a 35-year-old married woman living in a poor area of Taiz. She exhibits good moral values and is concerned about the well-being of her family, who are now living in a partially-finished house that needs essential construction work to be completed. She has therefore requested a loan from AMB which she will use to buy construction materials in order to finish building her house.

She states that she feels happy and grateful to Kiva lenders for the support that she is being provided, because in this way she will be able to provide better living conditions for her family.
