Taalaikan's story

Taalaikan is 38, married, and has two children. She has a high school education and raises livestock to provide her family's main source of income. She started farming 14 years ago when she bought cattle for 9,000 som (KGS). Her spouse is a beekeeper and also helps her on the farm. Thanks to Taalaikan's hard work she now has one dairy cow, one foal, and 14 sheep. Her farm is developing steadily and she has a barn and all the necessary conditions for livestock. They earn additional income is earned from crops and beekeeping. They have an apiary with 80 beehives, and 0.60 hectares of land where Taalaikan grows potatoes, corn and clover. Hay and livestock feed grow freely. Taalaikan and her family go out to the pasture in the summer to drive back the livestock to use the land for the apiary.
