A loan of $5,575 helped a member to buy wool.

Litoral Cautivo Group's story

The community association "LITORAL CAUTIVO" will begin the second cycle in Pro Mujer, as part of the Centro Focal de Alto Lima. It is made up of nine members and is headed by a board of directors where Eulogia is the Secretary. The businesses that the members of the community association carry out are varied. Among them are: grocery store, neighborhood store, knitting gloves, scarves and hats, selling clothes, and a bookstore.

The loan that they take will benefit small microbusinesses where Eulogia is a member. She says that it has been two years since she joined Pro Mujer, joining by invitation of a friend that is a member of the institution. Today she has a business of knitting and selling hats. She says that she started this business by observing this product is one of the highest selling products in the international market, and it is for that that with little capital she decided to establish her own knitting workshop.

The loan that she will now take out is for the increase of capital (purchase of wool) that she will acquire in the stores of the department of La Paz and subsequently she will sell it in her retail space. This form of work allows her to generate resources to maintain her family as she lives in common-law marriage with a son.

She asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she responds that she like the area of health that the institution offers.
