A loan of $675 helped buy dry goods (rice, sugar, milk) and a glass display counter.

Karina Hilda's story

Mrs. Karina belongs to the La Lupuna Communal Bank, which is located in the Jr. La Gloriosa Mz.C Lt 1 AA.HH, Ulises Reategui, in the Yarinacocha District of Ucayali Department. She is 29 years old and the mother of one young child who is still dependent on her. She is married, and her husband is a woodworker. With her first 300 sole loan from Manuela Ramos, she bought sweets to sell.

Karina currently has a small store in her home. She wakes up early to do chores, take care of her daughter and attend to her store.

With this loan of 2,000 soles, she will buy dry goods like a sack of rice, a glass counter for bread, a sack of sugar, 2 boxes of Gloria brand milk, a pack of noodles, a bag of detergent, and vegetables.

Karina has become a hard-working, successful woman who enjoys life. She is thankful to her communal bank for giving her the opportunity to fulfill her dreams as a woman and advance in life.
