A loan of $725 helped to buy supplies to prepare food.

Ana Rosa's story

Ana Rosa is 23 years old. She lives with her son in the Cayalti district. The people of the district work in agriculture, commerce, and livestock raising. The district is located in the province of Chiclayo, which belongs to the Lambayeque region on the northern coast of Peru.

She sells prepared foods such as chanfainita (a Peruvian stew made with beef lung, hominy, and potatoes), liver, caldo verde (a soup made with potatoes and vegetables, chaufa (Peruvian fried rice), and other dishes in front of the market in her district. She is an entrepreneurial mother. She has applied for a loan of 2000 PEN to purchase supplies for the preparation of her dishes: sacks of rice, cans of oil, vegetables, and sausages, among other items. A second part of the loan is to buy cooking utensils and in this way have the facility to serve her customers, generating greater income for her family.
