Francis's story

He operates a quarry where he sells building stones.He has been involved in this business for 22 years He now wants to start dairy farming to enable him to earn more income, and he has taken a loan of KES 80,000 to buy a dairy cow that will produce milk to sell.

His business is located in a busy area with lots of stones, and his primary customers are those interested in house construction. He describes his biggest business challenge to be the rainy season which affects his business. It is difficult to work in the quarry during the rainy season. He hopes that in the future, he will be prosperous. He also grows crops to earn extra income.
