Margret's story

Meet 20-year-old Margaret from Torkpoi town, Bo Southern area in Sierra Leone. She is single with one child aged four years old. In 2004, Margaret established her retail business. She began her business because she wants to generate income to support her child. She works at the business throughout the week, from morning to night. She says that her major problem to the business is price inflation. Margaret requires a loan in order to purchase more peppers and a variety of vegetables for resale. She hopes that the extra income from this loan will allow her to educate her children and repay her loan. In the future, Margaret plans to open a big provision store.
