A loan of $600 helped to buy charcoal to sell.

Dickens's story

Dickens, a repeat borrower, is 30 years old. He is a resident of a village in Kakika, in Ntungamo district. He is married, with three children, and he applied for a loan of UGX.1500,000 to add a stock of charcoal. He has many customers, charcoal being the cheapest form of cooking. However, he is limited by capital.

Dickens has, therefore, approached UGAFODE Microfinance Limited for a loan. Profits from the business will help Dickens to improve his well-being and pay tuition for his children, who are in school.
