A loan of $775 helped a member to buy more fish to resell.

Sokhom's Group's story

Living in a rural area located in the Moung Russey district where crop farming is a common way to make a living, Sokhom, 26, is a married mother of two children.

The sources of her family’s income are rice farming and selling fish. She and her husband have been in these businesses for several years. Sometimes, they also work for others for a fee. The current business earns her about KHR 50,000 per day to meet the family’s needs.

Sokhom is just with VisionFund for one cycle. She is now leading her group to ask for a loan. She is going to use her portion to buy more fish to resell and use a portion of it to spend on harvesting rice. She hopes to make more crops so as to make a better living.
