Gladys Patricia's story

Gladys, 39, has been a widow since August. She has three children, one grown, and two who are 13 and 15 years old. She has a two-year-old grandson. She lives in Puyo-Putuimi, an area that is hot and humid. It's an area with a variety of vegetation. She works growing and selling sugar cane. She does this by herself and works six hours every day. Her dream was to be a teacher, but she didn't have her parents' support and got married at a young age, so she was not able to achieve her dreams. Her goal is to improve her field by buying organic fertilizer and good sugar cane seeds so she can offer her customers a higher-quality product and increase her income for her children's studies.

Gladys seeks credit to buy seeds and raw materials with the goal of bettering her plantation and producing quality products. She gives thanks to Fundación Alternative and Kiva por the support given and is grateful for the funds in allowing her to complete her future goals.
