A loan of $450 helped to buy soft drinks at wholesale.

Rosa's story

Rosa, who is 46 years old, is married and has four children with whom she lives in the house that they own.

Rosa's business consists of selling soft drinks, which she does in her house. She has a refrigerator where she keeps her products at cold temperatures, the way her customers like them. She was inspired to start her business six years ago, with the help of her children in serving customers when she is out of the house. What she likes about her business is having an income with which she can help her husband with the household expenses—since his security guard salary doesn't cover everything—while still managing to increase her capital and reinvest it in her business. On the other hand, she says that she doesn't like it when it rains frequently because that reduces her sales.

At this time, Rosa is requesting 1,200 nuevos soles (PEN); she is waiting for this small loan in order to be able to reach her objectives. For her part, she promises to make her loan payments punctually. She will invest the requested amount in the purchase of soft drinks at wholesale, so that she can obtain a better profit margin.
