Nieves Dina's story

Nieves is a member of the Virgin Mary Community Bank. She is 55 years old, a widow with 3 children;one of her daughters studies in the capital city of Lima. Nieves has a small food shop at home. Mondays through Fridays she sells menu items and extra dishes and on Saturdays and Sundays, she sells traditional food, an activity that she starts from 6 a.m. until 3 p.m. with the help of some employees and her son. She also sells a variety of beverages as well. Nieves also has a big hall that she rents for different events and parties. In some occasions, Nieves provides catering service as well.

Nieves needs a 3000 soles (Peruvian currency) loan. The money will be invested in buying rice, beer, sugar and oil. Nieves dreams with expanding her hall, implement and offer more services, and that her children finish their professional studies.
