A loan of $450 helped to pay for a semester of her course.

Yeny Yesenia's story

Yeny Yesenia is currently studying to be a nursing assistant at CampoAlto. In 2014 she will be starting her second semester. She has a 10-year-old daughter and is a single mother. She works in a lumber yard and lives in the town of Soacha. She dreams of using her studies to get ahead in life, and to be able to give her daughter a good example to follow so that she learns to value life and study as hard as she can.

Yeny Yesenia would like to learn a lot at CampoAlto so she can be a good nurse and leave her job at the lumber yard. She hopes this will give her many opportunities and allow her to achieve the goals she has set for herself in life. However, to achieve her first goal she has to finish her training, and this is why she needs a loan from Kiva. She wants to be a good role model for her daughter and for her daughter to feel proud of what her mother does.
