Anthony's story

Anthony is a 29-year-old, married man. He has one child. He describes himself as being honest. He operates a transport business where he transports customers, using his motorcycle. He has been involved in this business for six years. Anthony's business is located in a rural area and his primary customers are traders and travelers. He describes his biggest business challenge to be poor roads which affect transportation of customers and goods. He will use the KES 90,000 loan to buy motorcycle spare parts and also to buy a dairy cow, to start dairy farming to earn extra income from the sale of milk. Anthony's business goal is to have a self-sustaining business within five years. He hopes that, in the future, he will be financially stable. This is his fifth loan with SMEP Deposit Taking Microfinance Limited (SMEP DTM). His previous loan of KES 99,000 was successfully repaid.
