A loan of $1,300 helped to buy perfumes, creams, cosmetics and replacement parts for a taxi.

Ana María's story

The Hermano Gregorio credit group meets every two weeks in the Jocay neighborhood in the city of Manta, a city known for its beautiful beaches that are much frequented all year long and for being a city with unmatched beauty and many tourism attractions.

Here lives Ana. She is 56 years old. She is married and has four grown children. Two of them still live in her home. Her husband is a taxi driver. Ana is a housewife who in order to obtain her own income and thus help her husband with the household expenses, sells clothing via catalog and Yanbal products (beauty products, cosmetics, perfume and women's accessories). She works three days a week two to three hours a day. She sells on credit and collects every week. With their savings she and her husband also bought a taxi which beings in good income for them. She has done this activity for more than 8 years and it is going well for her.

This loan is to buy perfume, creams, cosmetics and certain replacement parts that the taxi needs. This is her fourth cycle in the communal bank and she likes it because the payments are easy to make. Her dream is to buy another taxi.
