A loan of $1,450 helped to buy agricultural supplies for growing certified seed potatoes.

Angela's story

Thanks to her first loan Angela is very happy because she bought the fertilizers, manures, fungicides and other items which she used to cultivate her strawberry and potato crops. Thus she managed to get a harvest of 70 quintals of first quality potatoes and 15 quintals of second quality, which she sold at a very good price in spite of the drop in the price of potatoes in the local market. Her products were sold to middlemen in the area, people who sell the potatoes at the local and other markets and make it possible for her to sell her produce and make an income.

Angela's mission to meet her goals, hopes and dreams continues now she is up to date with her commitments: supporting the family, buying groceries and clothing as well as other necessities which have to be covered for the family's wellbeing. Based on her paying off the loan promptly, her credibility and her punctual payments, she is asking for a second loan which she will use to start afresh, buying foliar feeds, fertilizers, manure and first quality seed potatoes. She has been able to buy a lot of this with the profits she made but she still needs to prepare the land and do other tasks so that this second crop is worthwhile and makes her very happy.
