A loan of $700 helped to pay for fertilizer and polyethylene cover for the greenhouse.

Anush's story

Anush is from Yerevan. She lives with her son and husband. They own arable land near Yerevan. Part of the land is used as a greenhouse, and in the other part they cultivate roses and strawberries. The family lives in Yerevan, but every day they go to the nearby region to cultivate the land to get a good harvest.

Now, because of financial hardships, Anush has applied for this loan. She plans to purchase fertilizer and polyethylene cover for the greenhouse. This will greatly assist her and her family to continue cultivation and gather more harvest. Anush has already taken a loan from a local financial institution before, but unfortunately wasn't able to pay it back. However, thanks to hard work during recent times, Anush is able to run her agribusiness in a sustainable way, ensuring that she will be able to cover the monthly payments. So she has now been approved for a loan within the framework of a new joint initiative between Kiva and SEF international. The second-chance loan program provides loans to people who have a bad credit history and have no access to credit products.

Anush will be very thankful to lenders for the loan and hopes for their goodwill.
