Ann Jayaguru Shg Group
In this Group: Nilima, Saraswati, Sasmita, Usarani, Guni, Jhuma, Nirmala, Kalpana, Bidulata
This group is called "Ann Jayaguru SHG" and consists of nine members who are all females from a small village in Odisha in the eastern part of India. They primarily work together but in different businesses like fish selling, animal raising, grocery shops etc.

Nilima is 37 years old and married with two children who are five and nine years old. She has been practicing her profession of dressmaking for a long time. Her main business is sewing and she has a good reputation. She learned in a sewing lab and when she gained more experience, she continued her own business.

She is requesting a loan of 225,000 INR from People's Forum for her group. She will use her portion to buy sewing materials such as fabrics, needles and threads to use for her business since competition has affected her sales a great deal and she needs more merchandise to offer her clients. She hopes to increase both her client base and her income.

All the group members are very excited to take this opportunity and all are very thankful to Kiva lenders for their support.

Important note about this loan

Due to Indian government regulations, if you fund this loan, you will not be repaid for at least 3 years. About People's Forum

People’s Forum is a development organization based in Odisha, India that provides affordable loan products and support services to women. People’s Forum will harness Kiva’s flexible, zero-interest capital to serve even more borrowers in one of the poorest regions of India.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
