Martha Genoveva's story

Genoveva, 39, lives with her children in the Nueva Arica district. The residents of this area work in agriculture, commerce, and animal husbandry. This community is known for its fertile soil, and also has large deposits of gravel, sand and stone. It is located in Chiclayo province in the region of the same name, on the northern coast of Peru. Genoveva has a store where she sells groceries such as: milk, cooking oil, rice, sugar, soft drinks, and toiletries. She's had this business for more than 10 years. Genoveva is requesting a loan for 1,500 Peruvian soles to buy merchandise to stock her store so that she can meet the diverse needs of her customers and in doing so earn more income for her family.
