A loan of $1,075 helped to buy animal feed to fatten up her animals.

Veronica Ormecinda's story

Verónica Ormecinda is 33 years old and lives with her son and husband in the Oyotun district, two hours from the city of Chiclayo, on Peru's northern coast. The people in Verónica's local area have businesses and work in agriculture and cattle raising.

Verónica makes a living raising and selling young animals, such as chickens, ducks and guinea pigs, in order to cover some household costs. Verónica's family is very close; her husband does farming work. Verónica has applied for a loan of 3000 Nuevo Soles in order to buy feed to fatten up her animals. She will also build pens in order to have more space for the animals.
