A loan of $875 helped to buy chickens, guinea pigs and medicines for her children.

Gloria Margarita's story

Gloria is requesting her fourth credit with the credit group "El Cisne". Over this time she has become a very good friend of all the women partners. She lives close to the parish of the Valley of Cuenca, a place of natural beauty and green fields with a mixture of antique and modern architecture. Their people still keep their culture and traditions; their main source of income is agriculture, raising animals and commerce. Gloria is 27 years old, single mother of 3 children, who are 7, 5 and 4 years old and who are studying in the small town's school. She lives in her parents' house, with whom she shares household's expenses. Gloria works in sewing, an activity she learned by working on it. She works from Monday to Friday at a factory. At home she raises pigs, chickens and guinea pigs, and also works in agriculture which is solely for her home's consumption. She will invest her loan in buying chickens, guinea pigs and medicines to improve her children's health. Her dream is for her children to have a profession and be healthy.
