Adriana María's story

Adriana, age 29, is happily married. She is the mother of a young daughter, for whom she struggles daily in order to ensure her care and wellbeing.

During her working life she has worked in different companies, but six months ago she had the chance to get a grocery store. With some savings that she had, she managed to buy the business and started to earn her living independently, with the added bonus of getting to spend more time with her family. She works alone every day and offers basic staples. At this point, she has been very welcomed in the neighborhood, which has allowed her to earn money to support her husband with the financial needs of their home.

With the goal of positioning and strengthening her business in the market, she wants to invest in order to increase her inventory and have a bigger variety to offer her customers. It is because of this that she is asking for the support of a loan. With the loan she will buy pastries, cereals, dairy products, brown sugar, coffee, eggs, cold cuts, and cleaning products, among other items. In this way she can meet the needs and tastes of her customers, creating an increase in sales and consequently in the profit margin of her business. Adriana is aware that in order to get her business ahead and achieve a favorable amount of recognition in the sector, she should be disciplined and steady in her work and also provide excellent service in order to face her competition. In this way she can earn a better income to give her family a better quality of life and wellbeing.
