Choa S. is a widow born in 1962 who raises pigs on her farm in Kampong Cham where she lives with her very young grandchild and her elderly father-in-law. She raises pigs making around US$4 each day and would like to diversify her sources of income. She has asked CREDIT for a loan of US$400 to purchase some grocery items to resell in her community. She has seen a need for this type of business and believes that she can find enough customers to make this a good investment. More income will allow her to increase her food consumption and can help her household improve its standard of living.
