The Kotognontala group is comprised of married women who, on average, are 34 years old and have three children. They all live in traditional families in the city of Dioila (Dioila prefecture, Koulikoro region, second administrative region of Mali).

They know one another through relatives, neighbors, and friendship. They are in the food industry and sell fruits and vegetables. This is the second group loan for the women of the Kotognontala group.

The client, Rokia, the person standing in the center of the back row, sells honey. She buys her supplies from honey producers from neighboring villages. She would like to buy 40 liters of raw honey. It will then be sold to clients for cash at retail prices.

She would like to earn a monthly profit of 30,000 FCFA. This profit will be put back into her business.

Le groupe KOTOGNONTALA est composé de femmes mariées elles ont en moyenne 34 ans et 3 enfants. Elles vivent toutes dans des familles traditionnelles dans la ville de Dioila, préfecture de Dioila, Région de Koulikoro (deuxième région administrative de la république du Mali).
Elles se sont connues à travers des liens de parenté, de voisinage et d’amitié. Elles font la restauration, le commerce des condiments, des fruits et les légumes. Les femmes du groupe KOTOGNONTALA sont à leur deuxième prêt solidaire. La cliente ROKIA la personne au milieu dans le rang debout est vendeuse de miel. Elle s approvisionne chez les producteurs de miel venant dans les villages voisins. Elle compte acheter 40 litres de miel brute. Il sera vendu ensuite aux clients en détail et au comptant. Elle compte réaliser un bénéfice mensuel de 30000 FCFA. Ce bénéfice sera réinjecté dans son activité.

Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients. Kiva lenders’ funds will enable Soro Yiriwaso to expand its outreach and target even more underserved Malians involved in business and agriculture.
