A loan of $725 helped to buy groceries such as rice, milk, and sugar, among others.

Vanesa's story

Vanesa, age 35, is married. She has lived in her own house for eight years, together with her husband and two children, ages 4 and 16 years. She hopes to give her children a better quality of life. Vanesa works selling grocery products. Besides this, she also sells soda, ice and ice cream. With this, she makes the money she needs to eat and to pay for some of her own expenses, while her husband contributes with the money he earns from driving a mototaxi that Vanesa managed to buy with some savings.

What she likes most about her work is that it isn’t terribly taxing, and she can rest, keeping control of her health, because a while back her doctor recommended medical rest. She is pleased with the pace at which her grocery stand is growing.

Right now she is asking for 2,000 soles. She is very happy to know that she has financial support, because she feels safer moving forward with her business. At the same time she is once again committed to making her payments on time. With the loan she will buy grocery products such as rice, milk, and sugar, among others. She will also buy some drinks and ice cream products.
