A loan of $400 helped to purchase drinks, cigarettes, purified water, and toothpaste to offer for sale in her store.

Fatmata's story

Fatmata, age 36, operates a retail grocery business to earn an income. She started her business in 1995 with the goal of improving her family's standard of living. She works six days per week from 8 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., and reports that the main challenge to her business is price inflation and insufficient finances to expand her enterprise.

Fatmata lives in Wara Wara in the northern part of Sierra Leone. She and her husband have three children.

Fatmata is requesting a loan in order to purchase more drinks, cigarettes, purified water, and toothpaste to offer for sale in her store. She is confident that the extra income from this loan will allow her to improve her family's standard of living and increase her business. In the future, Fatmata plans to expand her business more than ever.

She thanks you for your support.
